Once in a filthy crevice of history
Sins against nature were practised
As the children of Adam
Laid amongst their own kind
In a place called Sodom

Openly in the street, lust was worshipped

A man from amongst their own
Was chosen by the Lord
To warn them of their sins
"Lot" was his name

Another step she did not take
For rooted the spot
Turned into a pillar of salt
Bearing testament till this day
Facing Sodom's Demise

And so the wrath of God rained down
"Lot" fled along with his followers
But his wife, unheeding of God's advice
Turned her face to gaze upon Sodom's demise
