Time To Rise

It's time to set sail
On this adventure
That has been so delayed

I've been all my life
Watching others sail
Guess it was worth the wait

The seas are dangerous
They're filled with monsters
But where's the fun without that?

So tell everyone
That I am coming
The time has come at last

Everyone told me I'm not ready already
That I should wait a few more years in my life
I'm really grateful for the loving and caring
But I just feel like it's my time to rise

Some people told me
If I am ready
I need to build my boat

So I have been here
Making it steady
It's time to make it float

They'll try to sink me
They'll try to stop me
From conquering the sea

I just can't let them
I've got to show them
That I need to be free
