End time reflecting on regret
Empty space between birth and death
Mark meaningless increments of time
Staring at my hands, I count the lines

My earthly body breaking down
I mourn for the peace I never found
Lamentation for a long lost day
I close my eyes as I decay

The rot sets in
Under my skin
Through my veins, flesh and bone
I never found a home
