I follow down to the sea
To the sea that calls me far away from thee
To wash my face in the salty spray
And trust the stars will lead the way

Below this hull is a blue that never sleeps
And I know in time will come to swallow me
And yet I follow down to the sea
Like the souls who came before and now are free

To sleep, perchance to dream
Rocked by waves
Lullaby'd by sails
May I always return to thee

I must go down to the sea again for the call of the running tide
