Behind the Curtains

Smiley faces moving in circles, darkness'embrace
The curtains open wide for the final act.

On stage they shine like gold, calling the eyes of the creator
Though there's no one there to see but themselves.

It's a strange illusion,
confusion made to believe
by the hands of the mortals
Invisible chains
hold tight the wings
and the souls deep within.

Come with me now,
Satan says: get rid of hypocrisy,
Finally somehow.
The inner voice brings me to reality,
And I look out behind
Covered by forgiveness the worst sinners live.
Behind the curtains the only god is ME!

Though they are your own directors on the play of life.

Masterwork of blindness,
Praying to conquest,
Knees on the ground,
Invisible god,
Conspiration for fools.
