Don't Be Afraid, It's Me

Far away goes the boat
On the sea so serene and calm
Gliding over the waves
The disciples all alone
Are rowing the little boat
Without Jesus to guide them
Suddenly the sky darkens and then thunder roars
And it starts to drizzle
Everyone got worried, as the wind against them
Wants the boat to capsize

The raging sea lashes out with great force at the little boat
And the worst part is they're alone without Jesus
And already tired of rowing, what to do?
But just when they felt they were about to perish
From the high mountain, the master began to descend

Here he comes walking
Down from the mountain
Calmly
With a gaze from God, watching troubled hearts
Arriving at the shore, the boat can't reach
To bring salvation, and now what will Jesus do?
Reaching the end of the beach, a vast sea ahead
The opposing wind trying to halt the mission
But when the waters sensed the master's approach
It became a pathway for the lion to walk across

Here comes Jesus, walking, striding on the sea
And he gets closer to the little boat without sinking
But when they saw Jesus walking on the waters
They screamed in terror
My God, here comes a ghost!
But quickly my Jesus
Said to them these words

Don't be afraid, it's me
Calm down, it's me!
Be still, it's me
Get up, it's me!
Rest easy, it's me
Trust, it's me!
Rejoice your soul, my child, it's me!
I am your comfort
Support, rest
Answer, refuge
Victory, renewal
I am provision
Presence, evidence
I am deliverance
For I change the sentence

Calm down
Be still
Rest
Get up
For the boat of your life will not capsize
But if the sea wants to make you stop, I’ll make you walk on top
