We were driving in a van
All over the place
Broke down in Mankato
I thought it was outer space
We got home
We got a call on the phone
15,000 for 1 record
Cuz we needed a new van
They put it out
18.50 in record stores
No lyric sheets in the tapes and records
Starting feeling like whores
They had the option of a second record
20,000 dollars more
Enough money to put out our own records
If only we had some more songs
