Walking down and looking at the streets of Brazil
We can find all that's sad and a great suffering
All the anger that lives inside our family homes
Children that cry for caress, all alone.
And their future in life will be sadness and pain
This is the portrait of a nation's decay
That dreams and dreams for a better day
When the sun shall rise for everyone again.

Try to understand that all of this is true

Society's failed, there is no more order
And the rotten government destroyed the progress
And all that rest us now is to be on our knees and pray
For the people to unite and begin to remake our Brazil.
With justice, honesty and conscience
No violence, no cruelty, unity and force
Discipline and courage will walk
Side by side for our new nation's rise.
