Ego

When I met him he was
Trying some new kind of sloppy pace
He walked and talked to leave behind
Everything that could dismay

But he had a mission
Which he didn't know

He mentioned a war in his head
Some grief some joy and a little disgrace
He walked and walked
Like he would in a dark haze

But he had a mission

He was looking for the one that shut his ego

Looking for something or someone he lost
Decided to thank them for stealing his ego

He never went by rail
With his back towards a destination
It gave him the jimjams
When I dwelled on this situation

He seemed to swank
So I poured some coffee over his jumpyness
He seethed then he cooled down
And trusted me with "I'm allright"

So he had a mission
Which he didn't know

He was looking for the one that shut his ego.
