Everything is all brand new like a rose open,
With it's face to the sun.
People laugh and others cry as they're learning next to you,
You're learning to be broken.

It's a pity that some people never know
The joy of what is to let life go.
If you never find your feet upon the waves,
Then you'll never find the triumph that you crave.

There's got to be more than dodging strife,
Lift up your eyes to meet your life.
Joy doesn't come when you know it all,
You've got to be uncertain, and it's okay to fall.

Lost and far from comfort, conflicting wants and dreams,
No time to create.
Live for now or plan for later?
Love this life or pray for better?
I feel so far away.
