The Black Knight

Deep in the desert among whirling clouds of dust
Ten thousand galloping hooves roar across the burning barrens

Storming into the midst of war (with courage and might)
Concealed in her armor black (as the darkest night)
To her captured brother's rescue (she takes her flight)
They all crumble in fear (before the black knight)

Covered in gore
(Drenched in blood)
She emerges crimson red

Vultures blacken the skies
Picking away at rotting flesh
Tears left in the sands of time
All in despair and death

Shouts of glory turn to screams of agony
Byzantine blood clots in the sand, dry quick beneath the blazing Sun
Sweat and fear mixed in a lethal dance of death
As steel meets flesh for the last and final time
