My car has died,Mein Auto ist gestorben,
it won't start anymore,es springt mich nicht mehr an,
even though I've cursed,obwohl ich schon geflucht hab,
as loud as I can,so laut wie ich nur kann,
but all the cursing is no use,doch alles Fluchen hilft nichts,
I get my anger,da krieg ich meinen Zorn,
I search for the engine,ich suche nach dem Motor,
my car has it in the front.mein Auto hat ihn vorn.

A car that doesn't drive,Ein Auto, das nicht fährt,
is not worth its money.das ist sein Geld nicht wert.

And then I get the first aid kit,Und dann hol ich das Verbandszeug,
because a lot can happen,denn es kann sehr viel passiern,
when people in anger,wenn Menschen, die in Wut sind,
handle tools,mit Werkzeug rumhantiern,
a hammer, plierseinen Hammer, eine Zange
and scissors and a light,und eine Schere und ein Licht,
that's my whole toolbox,das ist mein ganzes Werkzeug,
unfortunately, I have no more.mehr hab ich leider nicht.

is not even worth half.das ist nicht mal die Hälfte wert.

And then I hit the carburetorUnd dann hau ich mit dem Hammer
hard with the hammer,fest auf den Vergaser drauf,
one attempt to start fails,ein Startversuch misslingt mir,
but I don't give up yet,doch ich geb noch lang nicht auf,
with the pliers, I quicklymit der Zange wird dann kurzerhand
unscrew the radiator,der Kühler abgeschraubt,
because there's too much steam in it,denn da ist mir zuviel Dampf drinn,
hopefully that's allowed.hoffentlich ist das erlaubt.

is worth nothing at all.das ist überhaupt nix wert.

everyone wants an Opel,a jeder wüll an Opel ham,
if you end up in the ditch,fährt man dann in den Graben,
then no one wants it!dann will ihn keiner haben!

And then I cut small holes in the hoseUnd dann schneide ich mit der Schere
with the scissors,kleine Löcher in den Schlauch,
because every person needs airdenn ein jeder Mensch braucht Luft
and the car surely does too,und das Auto sicher auch,
then I drain the oil,dann laß ich noch das Öl ab,
grease the engine with it,schmier damit den Motor ein,
always remember the warning,denk immer an die Mahnung,
not to be stingy with the oil.mit dem Öl nicht sparsam sein

After oiling, I realize,Nach dem Ölen stell ich fest,
the saying is not worth much,der Spruch ist nicht viel wert,
that one who lubricates well, also drives well,daß einer, der gut schmieren tut,auch ebenso gut fährt,
hands and clothes,die Hände und die Kleider,
everything is messed up with oil,alles ist mit Öl versaut,
now I drive without a car,jetzt fahr ich ohne Auto,
because now I'm losing my temper!denn jetzt fahr ich aus der Haut!
