Volcanoes

These eyes are tired but open wide from staring at the world
And i don't know how we got this from focused straight at the sun

If this is a sign of life, this is the voice of reason
If this is a call to arms, these are the things we need to believe in

These words got tangled in my teeth, i can't stop the choking

And i can't remember to forget, just how we got to this
My walls are coming down and i'm almost certain

We're asking too much of a weakened structure
Walls crumble and fall, and hearts will rupture
