Our Days

I'm pretty sure you've heard this all before
But I can't keep hiding anymore
Before the Sun sets

I should get going
But these words I wrote
Must find willing ears

I'd cross my heart if it means I would cross your mind
Or sort through all the stars just to see you shine
'Cause like my letters

The ink will soon fade
But if your days are running out
Then I'd give you mine

Waiting so patiently
Time faded comfortably
I'll sing these clumsy words
If you'd remember me

When all our days are gone
Would you still remember me
Or before the night grows long
And we fade into our dreams

I think we know how this is gonna end
But you were the paper to my pen
I'll write our story

That ends too quickly
Because there's no you and me
With a happy end

The hand that turns the pages
Also wave goodbye
The ink fell like your tears
That you would try to hide

But on the last page
I made a promise
That I'd make another sequel
If you'd give me time
