Sometimes I slow down long enough
But it's only long enough to let her
To let her know I'm alive
And I used to let her go along
But she only wants to slow me down
But I can't when I drive

I know I need her like the sun
But I don't want to burn

She's my infection
That pulls me in her way
She's my obsession
That makes me want to stay

Sometimes I think I'm far enough
But how far must I go before I
Want to turn back around

Before I let the pedal up
I realize that I've thought too much
And I need to step down
