Today I woke up looking at the televisionHoy me levante mirando la television
and I can't believe what I have before my eyesy no puedo creer lo que tengo ante mi vista
there's talk of war with much concernse habla de guerra con mucha preocupacion

and on one side there are many who favor ity por un lado hay muchos que lo favorecen
but on the other hand there are many who also oppose itpero por otra hay muchos que tambien se oponen
some say that's what they deserveunos que dicen que eso es lo que se merecen
and others pray for them to finally reacty otros que ruegan para que por fin reaccionen
And we see the front page of the newspaper at every magazine standY vemos la primera plana del diario en cada puesto de revista

There's a divided world and everyone has their point of viewHay un mundo dividido y cada cual tiene su punto de vista
we see different opinions all over the earthvemos diferentes opiniones a lo largo de toda la tierra
some want peace and others prefer to go to warunos que quieren la paz y otro que prefieren ir a la guerra
and in the midst of all this I'm surprised at how much we've changedy en medio de todo esto me sorprende los mucho que hemos cambiado
because we no longer see the strength of that unity we saw in the pastpues ya no vemos la fuerza de aquella union que vimos en el pasado
where are those who came together that day we were bombeddonde estan aquellos que se unieron aquel dia en que fuimos bombardeados
yesterday they were united but today they have all separatedayer estaban unidos pero hoy ya todos se han separado
because with the passing of time it seems we have forgottenpues con el pasar del tiempo tal parece que se nos ha olvidado

As I continue watching the television I see that everyoneMientras continuo viendo la television veo que todo el mundo
continues with the same story, they keep saying it's a mistakesigue con la misma historia siguen diciendo que es una equivocacion
while others fight for victorymientras otros pelean para tener la victoria
on the other hand attention keeps risingpor otro lado la atencion sigue subiendo
many condemn everything that's happeningmuchos condenan todo lo que esta pasando
the frustration of a whole world is growing as the list of fallen increasesla frustracion de un mundo entero esta creciendo cuando la lista de caidos va aumentando

the family is a species in danger butla familia es una especie en peligro pero
but we don't want to see itpero no queremos verlo
divorce is on the rise but no one wants to resolve itel divorcio esta en aumento pero eso nadie quieren resorverlo
and in the midst of all this I realize why everything has changedy en medio de todo esto me doy cuenta el porque todo a cambiado
and it's because we've frozen all the values we hady es que todos los valores que teniamos los hemos congelado
there's a need for us to look back and return to the pasthay la necesidad de que miremos hacia atras y volvamos al pasado
