En hij kwam en sprak tot hen;And he came and spoke to them;
Hij opende de schrift,He opened the scripture,
Zodat hun ogen het duidelijk konden zien;So their eyes could plainly see;
Dat hij de enige god was, jehova,That he was the only god, jehovah,
Die de dood overwon op Golgotha;Conquering death at calvary;
Op de weg naar Emmaüs waar ze Jezus ontmoetten,On the road to emmaus where they met Jesus,
Geef dat ik met u mag wandelen.Grant that I may walk with thee.
