When I close my eyes I see her
walking through the streets to meet me
floating past the windows on her way
They shine with her reflection

There was a time
Feeling much to sure
of what this life was bringing
and though I didn't mind
I couldn't understand
a word the birds were singing

But when I hold her hand it's all right
Loneliness is just a word
I heard somebody whisper long ago
Must have been someone I knew

I do believe
that if you try to hold
a butterfly you'll break it
