In The Waiting

God is too wise to ever be mistaken
God is too good to ever be unkind
God is too faithful to ever break His promise
When I can't trace His hand
I'll trust in His heart every time

In the waiting God is working
Working all things for my good
In the waiting I will worship
Till the breakthrough comes

So don't fear my soul
Be still and know
He's always in control
In the waiting God is working for my good

God is too strong, I've never seen Him shaken
God is too big, He'll never fear the fight
God is too truthful, He'll never be dishonest
If He gave me His word
That's all that I need through the night

For all of my days, He orders my steps
I trust in the God who knows what's best
In meadows of green, or shadows of death

In loss or in gain, I know that I'm blessed

There's joy on the way, and wonders ahead
