Taken to bury a past
And nailed, the lid, down shut
No choice to be a last
How can I avert these eyes?

With no firmament ahead
The end pulls strong
A cross erodes
Reveals future ghosts
But are we truly dead
Hung upside down on show?

And when all of this is set in stone
Can we wash away our guilt
With sin and denial?

Come back to worship the skin
The mind distorts the purest thoughts
The body has retained
When calvary is a heart
Living as denial the end pulls strong
