Brought down by my selfishness
Can't let go of my own desires
Mainframe of self-pity
Can't even stop complaining to myself

I am hollow without you
Weeds of my path choke you out
Cares of this life only bring me doubt
My efforts fail without you
Oh God, fill my heart, remove dry rot

And through your words,

Teach me how to think, show me how to be
How to overcome all of the darkness
Bring Your word to life, deep inside my mind
