To Dust

Walking down the final tunnel I don't see the shining light
But a foggy veil of shadow tugs me down with powerful might

Down through the rotting ways of flesh
I lay my spirit to refresh
And then, without pain, ache and wound
I feel my heart restarts to pound

Immortalized by the horned one I know my soul will change to dust
By a firestream flowing through hades all hope is doomed to turn to dust
Thronged by the damned I seek the light to devastate it all to dust
And the final words before rebirth: Ashes to ashes and dust to dust

I had to leave myself behind me as my heart refused to beat
And as if I've ever known it I'm aware of my next deed

Deep in hell where I eke out now I am freed of pain and sadness
In the claws of the infernal it's reign of death and madness
