Infernal Shelter

So I don't cry myself to sleep at night,
Emotion suffers in the face of fear,
A test of wills in the wake of death,
Exchange my pain for one last breath.

Alone I roam through this darkened world,
Confused between the sorrow and the misery,
I look salvation right between the eyes,
Betrayal staring back at me.

My lonely road is a severed dream,
Mistrust amongst humanity,
A self inflicted desperate final plea,
Adversity impales me.

Forever haunted by reality,
An endless flow of lies,
A life of death we live,
Within a crypt of tortured cries.

Victims of deception,
The night becomes our day,
So helpless to the strength of fear,
Illusion lights the way.

Shedding tears of torment,
And bleeding from my soul,
I try and part my lips to scream,
The madness takes control.

Peace of mind,
Piece of me,
Piece of freedom,
Die for your liberty,
The world remains,
In a state of depression,
Comply to your soul,
Crush off oppression.
