To realize that the gospel has changedEm constatar que o evangelho já mudou
Who was a servant yesterday now considers himself a LordQuem ontem era servo agora acha-se Senhor
And tells God how He should beE diz a Deus como Ele tem que ser

But the true gospel exalts GodMas o verdadeiro evangelho exalta a Deus
It is as clear as the water I drankEle é tão claro como a água que eu bebi
And its essence and power are not negotiableE não se negocia sua essência e poder
If camouflaged, excellence will be lost!Se camuflado a excelência perderá!

The gospel is what unveils our eyesO evangelho é que desvenda os nossos olhos
And unties every knot that has been madeE desamarra todo nó que já se fez
However, no one will be set free without crying outPorém, ninguém será liberto, sem que clame
Repentant at the feet of Christ, the King of kingsArrependido aos pés de Cristo, o Rei dos reis

The gospel shows man dead in his sinO evangelho mostra o homem morto em seu pecar
Unable to rise on his ownSem condições de levantar-se por si só
Unless Jesus, who is just, pulls him from where he isA menos que, Jesus que é justo, o arranque de onde está
And justifies him, presenting him to the FatherE o justifique, e o apresente ao Pai

It also shows the justice of a GodMostra ainda a justiça de um Deus
Who is much greater than any force or fictionQue é bem maior que qualquer força ou ficção
Who would not be unjust if He let me perishQue não seria injusto se me deixasse perecer
But sovereign in grace, He chose meMas soberano em graça me escolheu

That's why I can't forgetÉ por isso que não posso me esquecer
Being His servant, I don't tell Him what to doSendo seu servo, não Lhe digo o que fazer
Determining or setting a time for things to happenDeterminando ou marcando hora para acontecer
What His will will revealO que Sua vontade mostrará
