One Of Those Nights

It's one of those nights when you panic in your bed, and you scream that you can't fall asleep. No you can't fall asleep. I'm awakened. Distracted by the ambulance lights. We hung ourselves on accident. We're calloused and numb it's what we've become. Living this experience. What are you constantly in search of? Living your life with no direction or purpose 'till you die. You are my brother, and I am yours. I'd cut myself wide open just to show you what these hearts are for. Racing through your veins. It's written on your face. This tourniquet for your heart's got the hair on your arms standing straight up. Tell me what you're afraid of. Show us what you're made of. Take my eyes, my lungs, my skin give them to someone who can truly appreciate them. This always meant nothing. I'll stand for something solid, the type of thing that can't be stripped away by the threats or bribes of the world. It's robbed us of our humanity.
