O father above in thy mercy and love
With all of my being I plead
Come and Fortify me and my comforter be
Lord, thy glorious power I need

With my heart, I am crying to thee
O Father, send help unto me

O Father, I pray, give me grace for each day
The tempter, O God, to withstand
For he wars against me; my tormentor is he
