Le Chœur des Anges

The Angels' Chorus

Les anges chantent le chant céleste,Angels chant the heav'nly song,
"Paix sur terre, bonne volonté" ;"Peace on earth, good-will";
Entends l'écho fort et longHear the echo loud and long
Dans la nuit tranquille ;On the midnight still;
"Gloire, gloire," entends-les dire -"Glory, glory," hear them say-
Le Christ, le Seigneur, est né aujourd'hui,Christ the Lord is born today,
"Gloire à Dieu au plus haut des cieux, gloire !"Glory be to God in the highest, glory!
Paix sur terre, bonne volonté pour les hommes."Peace on earth, good-will to men."

RefrainRefrain

Un Sauveur est né pour nous,Unto us is born a Savior,
Un Roi est né pour nous ;Unto us is born a King;
"Paix sur terre," ô chante le chœur,"Peace on earth," O chant the chorus,
Que le monde chante avec joie.Let the world with gladness sing.

Un Roi est né pour nous,Unto us is born a King,
Christ, le Prince de la paix ;Christ the Prince of peace;
D'autres royaumes s'éteignent et tombent,Other kingdoms wane and fall,
Le sien ne cessera jamais ;His shall never cease;
Car Il règne dans la justice,For He rules in righteousness,
Règne dans l'amour pour bénir nos vies,Rules in love our lives to bless,
Le sien sera le pouvoir qui remplira la création,His shall be the pow'r that shall fill creation,
Loue-Le, car Il règne pour l'éternité.Praise Him, for He reigns for aye.

RefrainRefrain

Lève une chanson de louange aujourd'hui,Lift a song of praise today,
En ce temps sacré,At this holy time,
Quand à Bethléem, loin d'ici,When to Bethl'em far away
Vint l'Invité divin ;Came the Guest divine;
Quand Son étoile dans une lumière sans pareilleWhen His star in matchless light
Éclairait le ciel cette nuit merveilleuse,Gemm'd the sky that wondrous night,
"Gloire au plus haut," oh, plie-toi devant Lui,"Glory in the highest," oh, bow before Him,
Christ, le Bébé de Bethléem.Christ the Babe of Bethlehem.
