Ese día del juicio final seguramente llegará;That final judgment day will surely come;
Lo que el Cielo ha fijado, el tiempo no puede sacudir,What Heav'n hath fixed time cannot shake,
El tiempo nunca más barrerá tu destino.Time never more shall sweep away thy doom.
Sabe que lo que el Señor mismo ha habladoKnow, what the Lord Himself hath spoken
Llegará al final y no se retrasará:Shall come at last and not delay:
Aunque el Cielo y la tierra pasen,Though Heav'n and earth shall pass away,
Su firme Palabra nunca podrá ser quebrantada.His steadfast Word can ne'er be broken.

¡Despierta! Él viene a juzgar, ¡despierta!Awake! He comes to judgment, wake!
Pecadores, contemplen Su semblanteSinners, behold His countenance
En su belleza terrible, y tiemblenIn beauty terrible, and quake
Condenados bajo Su mirada penetrante.Condemned beneath His piercing glance.
¡Miren! Aquel a quien se le ha dado todo poder,Lo! He to whom all power is given,
Quien se sienta a la diestra de Dios en lo alto,Who sits at God's right hand on high,
En fuego y trueno se acerca,in fire and thunder draweth nigh,
Para juzgar a todas las naciones bajo el Cielo.To judge all nations under Heaven.

¡Despierta! Mundo descuidado, despierta!Awake! thou careless world, awake!
Porque nadie puede decir cuándo nuestro Dios querráFor none can tell how soon our God shall please
¿Que de repente ese día amanezca?That suddenly that day should break?
Ninguna sabiduría humana alcanza las profundidades como estas.No human wisdom fathoms depths like these.
Cuídate bien de la lujuria y la avaricia;O guard thee well from lust and gree;
Pues como el pájaro en la trampa,For as the bird is in the snare,
O antes de darse cuenta de su enemigo,Or ever of its foe aware,
Así llega ese día con silenciosa rapidez.So comes that day with silent speed.

Aún así, por amor Él demora muchoYet He in love delayeth long
El día final, y nos otorga tiempoThe final day, and grants us space
Para apartarnos del pecado y el mal,To turn away from sin and wrong,
Y buscar en tiempo Su ayuda y gracia.And mourning seek in time His help and grace.
Retiene ese mejor de los días,He holdeth back that best of days,
Hasta que los justos apruebenUntil the righteous shall approve
Su fe y esperanza, su amor constante;Their faith and hope, their constant love;
¡Tan gentiles son Sus caminos hacia nosotros!So gentle us-ward are His ways!

Pero ustedes, almas fieles, veránBut ye, O faithful souls, shall see
Esa mañana surgir en amor y alegría,That morning rise in love and joy,
Su Salvador viene a liberarlos,Your Savior comes to set you free,
Su Juez destruirá todas sus ataduras:Your Judge shall all your bonds destroy:
Él, el verdadero Josué, entonces traeráHe, the true Joshua, then shall bring
A Su pueblo con mano poderosaHis people with a mighty hand
A su prometida tierra paterna,Into their promised father-land,
Donde cantarán himnos de victoria.Where songs of victory they shall sing.

¡Regocíjense! El higueral muestra su verdor,Rejoice! the fig tree shows her green,
El año naciente está en su apogeo,The springing year is in its prime,
Las florecillas se ven de nuevo,The little flowers afresh are seen,
Reunimos fuerzas en este gran momento;We gather strength in this great time;
El glorioso verano se acerca,The glorious summer draweth near,
Cuando toda la carga terrenal de este cuerpo,When all this body's earthly load,
En la luz que la mañana derrama,In light that morning sheds abroad,
Se lavará como un sol puro y claro.Shall was as sunshine pure and clear.

Levántate, y día y nocheArise, and let us night and day
Vigilemos a nuestro Señor, y estudiemos Su Palabra,Watch for our Lord, and study o'er His Word,
Y en el Espíritu oremos siempre,And in the Spirit ever pray,
Para estar listos cuando se escuche Su llamado;That we be ready when His call is heard;
Levántate, y apresurémonos a encontrarnosArise, and let us haste to meet
Con el Novio que está parado en la puerta,The Bridegroom standing at the door,
Para que con los ángeles por siempreThat with the angels evermore
También podamos adorar a Sus pies.We too may worship at His feet.
