About to Implode

There is something deep down inside
A fiend from which I can’t run or hide
And it brings me down, down, down

A part of me this beast is
And it is indeed my nemesis
And the fight is hard, hard, hard

Face the devils in your mind
The means to do it you can find
T o make your life better is the goal
It might mean the salvation of your soul

Something about this I must do
Enough at least to make it through
One day I’ll reach higher, higher, higher
