Got down to a grave decision
And decided to give it a go
As my doubts became revelations
I told my poor self
"Man, I told you so"
Streets of gold
And skies so starry
Gonna get me some history
Ended up on a sad safari
Through a sorry ass
State of human misery

Got it all like I thought I would
Got more and I got it good
But I never fully understood

I need a holiday from my vacation
Need to recuperate from recreation
I gotta get away

I faced the muzac
Blasting soft and loud
I've had enough
I gotta get on back
Cant stand another
Elevator facing the crowd
Knee deep in exploitation
Its good for the economy
So here I am for some relaxation
Basking in the deepest
Of despondencies
