The political farceLa farsa politicante
Not the charming sighsNo los suspiros galantes
Nor the reasons of love.Ni las razones de amor.

No one has died of loveNadie se ha muerto de amor
Nor from fake affectionNi por cariño fingido
Nor from living without a husbandNi por vivir sin marido
Nor from supposed betrayalNi por supuesta traición.
The world is a stationEl mundo es una estación
Of trains of sorrowsDe trenes de sinsabores
With much greater faultsCon faltas muy superiores
Your complaint is not a whimSu pleito no es una queja.
A great complaint is one who skinsGran pleito es quien despelleja

Evil with premeditationAl mal con alevosía.

That's why I light up sparksPor eso prendo centellas
