Chains Of Solitude

Don't be fooled by your wanton desires,
For I have bathed in your funeral pyres,
Once I was not but a young man,
Memories lost to the shifting sands,
Of time! Of time!!!

Take my hand and follow,
To the caverns below,
Beneath the hollow shell,
The river of death must flow.

Rivers of twilight, dance through my mind,
Denied man's gift, I'm left behind,
Tortured by loneliness, driven insane,

Bargain struck the deal has been made,

Always seek to live beyond your means,

Forced to live with your fears and your guilt,
Watch your loved ones wither and die,
Taken to heaven to be buried,
