What If

I can't tell you how to turn back the clock.
Erase all those years, we had to grow up.
I can't tell you that I'll never change,
but somehow I know that I am still the same.
We all try and guess at what's meant to be,
but somewhere inside I know that this is for me.

What if I'm right?
What if you're wrong?
What if you hold me down instead of lifting me up?
What if we bend?

Would it all be for nothing?

I miss the way that we used to be.
