Counting All The Seconds

I'm not the first to know that faith can give you power
I'm resting on this land and wait for sun to give new light
I lie awake for hour upon hour
Seeing what i want to see believing this is night
Believe in what i want to
I can't see in others what i see in me

Just imagine years gone by
Days wasted time will fly
The same for you and me
I'm counting on an exception
Please myself as the year refrains

Counting all the seconds as they fade away
There i was still enjoying yesterday
Freedom put aside then passed from hand to hand
Man to man, from friend to friend

Even though i don't have much
There's something to believe in
