And a bull Indian opens his chest and chargesE um índio touro abre o peito e atropela
A bay dog rebels and bitesUm cusco baio se revolta e garroneia
The bull kicks and, circling, gets entangledO boi coiceia e, dando volta, se entrevera

The cattle jostle sniffing a downpourTranqueia o gado farejando um aguaceiro
That's brewing over there towards the eastQue vem se armando lá prás banda oriental
Ponchos open at the back and at the frontAbrem-se ponchos na culatra e lá na ponta
And the wind challenges, rippling the grassE o vento afronta mareteando o pastiçal

Thunder rumbles in the distance and lightning strikes the groundTroveja longe e o raio plancha na terra
And the water sleeve already whitens the corridorE a manga d'água já branqueia o corredor
Soaking the poncho and the soul of the one who stumblesEncharca o poncho e a alma de quem tropeia
If the weather turns ugly towards the rainmakerSe o tempo enfeia pros lados do chovedor

I can't wait to finish this journeyNão vejo a hora de findar esta jornada
