The awakening

Thunder awoke me I sat up my feet on the floor
Silver the lightning that shattered the lock on my door
Feel like I've lived my life long
Just waiting for this day to dawn

Racing through time toward the light
We just do what we must
We're more than just ashes our spirits are more than just dust
Ancient we stood in the sun
Older when time first began

Now by the light shining through from within
We'll find our way back to the stars once again
