Should have gone differently, is what l often say
Looking at myself above the bathroom sink
For every closing door, there's one opening
Everything comes down to that thin subtlety

They say persistence gets attractive
The more you show
Amazing how much effort goes into letting go

There should have been more applause for all the risk I take
A master knows how far to push once they commit
I know what I got is good
A fresh approach, I think
But damn, it'd be so good if someone else agreed

They say a failure is only real if no one learns
But such a costly education in flames and burns
