Behold, my days are but a hand's breadth before you,Siehe, meine Tage sind einer Hand breit vor dir,
and my life is nothing before you.und mein Leben ist wie nichts vor dir
Oh, how truly insignificant are all people,Ach, wie gar nichts sind alle Menschen,
who live so securely.die doch so sicher leben.
They pass by like a shadow,Sie gehen daher wie ein Schemen,
and cause themselves much futile unrest:und machen ihnen viel vergebliche Unruhe:
they gather and do not know who will get it.sie sammeln und wissen nicht wer es kriegen wird.
