Moisés guió a los hijos de Dios para encontrar la tierra prometidaMoses led God's children out to find the promised land
Y en el camino se detenía cada día para mirar al Cielo yAnd on the way he'd stop each day and look to Heaven and
Pedir ayuda a Dios, ya que no podía enfrentar la tarea soloAsked God for help as he could not withstand the task alone
Y un día apartó la mirada y allí yacía una piedraAnd then one day he looked away and thereby lay a stone
Dios dijo escribe en esta piedra estas palabras que te digoGod said write upon this stone these words I say to you
Y si todos obedecen mis reglas los llevaré a salvoAnd if you all obey my rules I'll see you safely through
Dios abrió la puerta del Cielo y luego guió las manos de MoisésGod opened Heaven's door and then He guided Moses' hands
Y luego dijo ve y dile a mis hijos que estos son mis mandamientosAnd then He said go and tell my children these are my commands
Ve y sube esa montaña Moisés sube esa montaña ahora y rezaGo and climb that mountain Moses climb that mountain now and pray
Sube esa montaña ahora y cuéntanos lo que nuestro Señor ha tenido que decirClimb that mountain now and tell us what our Lord has had to say
No tendrás otros dioses delante de mí es mi gran mandamientoThou shalt have no Gods before me is my great command
Y no harás ninguna imagen de escultura con tus manosAnd thou shalt not make any graven image by thy hand
No tomarás mi nombre en vano si quieres ser inocenteThou shalt not take my name in vain if thou would guiltless be
Recuerda guardar el día de reposo solo para míRemember thou to keep the sabbath day alone for me
Honra a tu padre y a tu madre y no matarásHonor thy father and thy mother and thou shalt not kill
No cometerás adulterio y no robarásThou shalt not commit adult'ry and thou shalt not steal
Ama a tu prójimo como a ti mismo y muestra paz a tu prójimoLove thy neighbor as thyself and show thy neighbor peace
No codicies la casa de tu prójimo ni nada que sea suyoCovet not thy neighbor's house nor anything that's his
Ve y sube esa montañaGo and climb that mountain
Moisés mostró estas palabras de Dios a todos los niños entoncesMoses showed these words of God to all the children then
Levantaron campamento y se dirigieron a encontrar la tierra prometidaThey pulled up stakes and headed out to find the promised land
Que Moisés les había descrito y les habló de las comodidades allíThat Moses had described to them and told of comforts there
Los hijos de la opresión pensaron que no encontrarían en ningún otro lugarThe children of oppression thought they'd not find anywhere
Pero pronto tuvieron que separarse de él y seguir solos por un tiempoBut they were soon to part from him and push alone awhile
Porque nunca fue su destino caminar esa última millaFor it was never meant for him to walk that final mile
Los niños lloraban si debemos seguir sin ti MoisésThe children cried if we must go on Moses without you
Entonces habla con Dios una vez más y dinos qué hacerThen talk to God just one more time and tell us what to do
Ve y sube esa montañaGo and climb that mountain
No tendrás otros dioses delante de míThou shalt have no Gods before me
