A Thing Called Love

Turmoil and destruction are now too easily conceived
Through war, capitalism, and false liberties
Don't want to open my eyes
For all the blinding truths of life is all I see

We are all royalty
Peace and happiness is an unplanted seed
It's up to you and me
To turn this dream to reality
And for all eternity will be stop the bleed

To we need to steal to feed?
Do we need yet another creed?
At the feast of ego all that's left is greed
But there's more to life than evil hearts and souls unclean
It's in the sway of the trees and the waves of the seas
It's in the innocent heart of the child
It's in the rays of light beaming through the clouds

When will we realize that peace can't be made with blood?
The ultimate imbalance of yin and yang from the raven to the dove
Will only be counterbalanced with a thing called love
