Haunted by Guilt

Upside down once again
Open sliced violated throughout
Wasted away

The bringer of life now slaughtered
The unborn and the existent
Now murdered

It makes me feel so restless
It makes me think about
My right to live

Humanity that takes everything
And gives nothing should be
Haunted by guilt
Why can't we live as we should live
Not by taking it all and be
Haunted by guilt

Nothing changes
Nothing happens

Greed is a sin and is well-rewarded
Humanity is a virtue and so condemned

She cries out in pain can't we hear
We can not shift to a higher gear
We could be pleased for less
There is a way out of this mess
