It's late in the evening

She's wonderin' what clothes to wear

She puts on her make-up

And combs her long hair

And then she asks me, "do i look all right?"

We go to a party

And everyone turns to see

That's walkin' around with me

It's time to go home now

And i've got an achin' head

So i give her the car keys

And she helps me to bed

As i turn out the light
