Loneliness

Lonely here in the desert night
Stars above they whisper fright
Lost among the sands so wide
But I will still survive this ride

Wandering through the ancient stone
Echoes calling from the unknown
Heart heavy with tales of old
But my spirit remains bold

Lonely I'm lonely but I'm alive
Through the tears and the trials I strive
Desert winds they howl and cry
But in this vastness I will fly

Shadows dance by the ancient ruins
Whispers tell of endless doings
Pain and sorrow etched in time
Yet strength I find is so sublime

Choirs lifting up my soul
In this sorrow I find my whole
Cello strings they sing my pain
But through the storm I'll remain

Lonely I'm lonely but not lost
Every step has its own cost
In this desert I'm reborn
Finding light in every dawn
