Todos detuvieron su baile y comenzaron a mirar fijamenteAll stopped their dance and began staring
El cuchillo que descansaba en su pecho.At the knife that was in his chest resting.
Entonces entró el asesino sonriente.Then the smiling murderer came in.
Era un joven y delgado trabajador de la ciudad.He was a town worker young and thin.
Y se inclinó sobre el dandi muerto como para quitarle el cuchillo de su cuerpo.And he bent over the dead dandy as to take the knife from his body.

El cuerpo pronto abrió los ojosThe body soon opened his eyes
Y agarró el brazo izquierdo del asesino.And grabbed the murderer's left arm.
Dijo '¿Por qué me apuñalaste en el corazón? ¡Mientras te mostraba mi traje nuevo!Said "Why did you stab me in the heart? While i was showing you my new suit!!
Era tan entero y bonito,It was whole so pretty and new,

Y el joven y delgado trabajador sonrienteAnd the smiling worker young and thin

'Vámonos', dijo el hombre muerto,"Let's get away", the dead man said ,
'Antes de que piensen que algo es extraño."Before they think something is strange.
