Fear And Greed

Darkness is in our minds
Leading the world to bitter days
Pushing us all to run that race
Ignorance now rules our lives
Calling the shots - who lives or dies
Winding us high-strung till the edge

We are bound to crash and burn in hell
We're counting down
Our precious remaining time

Fear and greed - all for money
Spreading death and pain - all for power
Dirty deeds told with nice words
And the hypocrites roll the dice

Holy lands, torched down to ashes
Scorching eyes in disbelief
Moaning for help in the burning heat
On the news, everything's all right
Saying, that justice will prevail
Nothing to worry bout today

Now we are late, too late
All hopes - forgotten and gone
Now we are left at the mercy of time, precious time

Time to face the truth and peak in it's eyes
Where lies reign the world and avarice makes the law
