The Beat Of a Drum

Is it the beat of a drum or is it wisdom
That makes our souls dance?
When my heart stops, is it like Winter,
Or was this my only chance?
To get to know all the people I should get to know.
To smell the flowers in the young girls hair,

Overcoming all this fear.
Is it the far away sun, or imagination, that makes me think of home?
Is it the speed of light, or is it stillness, that makes change come about?
And lets me know all the people I should get to know.
