Mocking Bird

Somewhere down in Mexico, way far away from here, I gave my heart to a mocking bird. Can't remember when or where. Exchange it for a better one somewhere. One with not so much wear and tear. Young tonight, bright so light and clear.

And so He told me he'd come right back here and he quickly disappeared. Still waiting for it to reappear. It's been years and years. Now there's no one to shed the scars I can't clear. The memories that haunt my lonely tears.

One bright day he flew back to here, landing on a distant pier. Said look to distant places, different mazes different stages.

But this heart dissolves with adversity. Waiting for it to come back for me. He replied your hearts right here. But you've abandon it to pain and fear. Give time to it every single day of the year. Evolve but don't dissolve, you haven't used it for years. And that's the last time my mocking bird has been here.
