I remember it small, thin and shaken,pequeñito lo recuerdo, delgadito y "zarandeao",
shaken by the wind, full of fragility.agitado por el viento, lleno de fragilidad.
The tree outside my window has seen me cry,El árbol de mi ventana a mi me ha visto llorar,
and in my ruined nights, it has helped me vomit,y en mis noches malogradas me ha ayudado a vomitar,
it's a witness to the affection I felt for my fatheres testigo del cariño que por mi padre sentí
and how I turned this affection into hatred.y de cómo éste cariño en odio lo convertí.
The thickness of the years, reflected in its trunk,El espesor de los años, en su tronco reflejados,
makes me feel so strange because I hadn't noticedme hacen sentir tan extraño pues yo no me había fijado

in this same window, alone and unburdened.en ésta misma ventana, solo y desembarazado.
