Pity me, I'm a lonesome soul
Left my home in Ohio
Just to find a better place to hide
Seemed all my friends were looking to me
To provide a little company
But that’s something I know nothing about

Ain’t it strange, one such as I
I could wander all my life
I'm not alone, I’ve got a home
And it’s out on that open road

Cloud in the breeze I drift along
Arrive at night, leave before dawn
Don’t know where I'm going but I ain’t standing still
Maybe I’ll never be satisfied
Looking at life like a carnival ride
It’s a cheap thrill but I don’t wanna get off

Years slipped by but I woke up
A sore in my back and an empty cup
The fire in me turned cold dark ash
Some say I'm a lonesome soul
But I don’t believe everything I'm told
There’s still a lot of world I have yet see
