Evidence

This I know - we fear our doubt,
Lock it in or shut it out
Something ugly we "must hide"
But even Jesus wept and cried
Every now and then I fall,
I'm no Mister Know-it-all
Though I walk the narrow way,
I stumble, stop and go astray

I couldn't hear You in the storm,
Now I'm listening to the breeze
I need a solid rock to stand on,
So give me a hint, a sign, give me an evidence - now!

People ask me how I know
More than a feeling, can't let go
Can't believe in destiny
I've got a better theory
Someone is behind it all
And He hears me when I call
Someone shed his blood for me
Still I wonder: Who is He?
